🎧 Experience poetry in a whole new way at Cankarjev dom
Several of our Acouspade Classic directional speakers are now installed in the COSMOS KOSOVEL exhibition – and the effect is pure magic.
In this unique setup, the poems of Srečko Kosovel are projected as text and delivered as audio through the Acouspade Classic. Because the speakers create a highly focused beam of sound (like an audio spotlight), only the visitor standing in front of a particular poem can hear it. Step slightly aside, and the sound disappears. The result is an intimate, personal encounter with Kosovel’s words – without disturbing other visitors nearby.
About the exhibition
COSMOS KOSOVEL (16 September 2026 – 9 May 2027) marks the centennial of the death of one of Slovenia’s most important poets. Curated by Marijan Rupert (National and University Library), the exhibition traces Kosovel’s life and work chronologically – from his youth and family influences to his groundbreaking Constructivist and avant-garde phase. Visitors can see original manuscripts, diaries, letters, photographs, school notebooks and first publications, alongside artworks and manifestos that place him in the broader European context of the interwar period.
About Cankarjev dom
Cankarjev dom is Slovenia’s leading cultural and congress centre, located in the heart of Ljubljana. Designed by architect Edvard Ravnikar and opened in the early 1980s, it welcomes around half a million visitors every year and hosts a rich programme of concerts, theatre, dance, exhibitions, literature events and international conferences. It remains one of the country’s most important stages for both Slovenian and international culture.
